This piece captures Lewis Hamilton at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, a commission born from a simple brief and total creative freedom. It is less about the race, and more about the man, the moment, the presence.

Deep mottled reds sweep through the background, bleeding seamlessly into Hamilton and the Ferrari suit to create a composition that shouts Scuderia from every corner of the canvas. Light and dark are used deliberately, pulling Lewis into the abstract world around him, giving a cinematic intensity that draws the viewer into the moment. The helmet is a key focal point of extraordinary detail, its glittering surface alive with reflections and intricate colour.

"I wanted this to be one of the most powerful portraits I'd ever painted. The red world felt right immediately, tying Hamilton and Ferrari together in a way that felt inevitable. The helmet was a huge focus for me; the glittery design, the reflections, the intricate detail. I spent a long time making sure every element was right. I knew this painting would be powerful, but what I brought to life was beyond even my own expectations."
